ClearPass Frequently Asked Questions

The COVID ClearPass app from Red Level is designed to help you protect your workforce and protect your business as Michigan’s economy restarts after the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine. It helps you manage employee queuing/waitlisting, contact tracing, real-time communications, and location capacity limits to stay in compliance with the governor’s orders and CDC guidelines.

The best way to learn about using ClearPass for your business is to attend one of Red Level’s free webinars. Here are a few questions we’re fielding from business leaders about using COVID ClearPass.

​We offer two versions of ClearPass to suit the needs of every organization – a free version integrates with your existing Microsoft 365 license and a paid, web-app version that works without any licenses.

For the Microsoft 365 based version, any version of a Microsoft 365 license will allow you to install and use most of the features in the ClearPass app – both for users and admins

To enable the convenient push notification features in ClearPass, you will need one premium license for a Microsoft PowerApps administrative user

Users who want to view and share the intuitive dashboards for ClearPass, will need a pro license for Power BI

Red Level is happy to help you secure these (or assist with any other software licensing – Red Level is a long-time, award-winning, Microsoft Gold Partner).

The pre-registration feature permits authenticated users to reserve a visit to a site. ​Users have the ability to cancel a reservation made in right in the app. All reservations made that did not have a check-in found on the day of the reservation is deemed as “no show” and automatically deleted after midnight.​

ClearPass is installed in your M365 Enviroment and Red Level doesn’t require access to your tenant unless you need support or customizations.

No. Pre-registration feature is limited to only authenticated users, typically company employees. Guests and visitors need to be coordinated the day of the visit as a check-in (Self Declaration form).

All employees and guests are required to complete the Self Declaration form as part of their check-in before they enter the workplace.  Once checked in, ClearPass home will update and display a check-out feature that enables authenticated user check-ins recorded (self and guests) to check-out right in the app.

The free version will be free forever if you have the required Microsoft licenses. You will receive email support for commonly asked questions around installation and COVID ClearPass capabilities.

A paid version is now available for companies and organizations that do not use individual Microsoft licenses for each employee.

    • Ability to customize app logo
    • Ability to update color branding
    • Up to 1-hour handoff meeting
  • Plus $1,500
    • Up to 8 hours of support with Red Level Development Consultant to deploy, set up, and app configurations
    • Ability to customize app logo
    • Ability to update color branding
  • Pro Custom Pricing
    • Meet with a Red Level Senior consultant to help strategize customization requirements

We have a few options:

  • Upgrade on your own – Free
  • Standard Upgrade – $250
    • For those organizations who have a standard installation of COVID ClearPass
  • Plus Upgrade – $500
    • For those organizations who have customized their installation of COVID ClearPass
  • ClearPass Fresh – $1,500
    • A year-long upgrade path – 4 customized upgrades for the price of three
