It’s great to be cited for doing something extremely well – and even better when it happens over and over again. For Red Level, it’s just happened again: For the seventh year in a row, we have been named as one of Detroit’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association of Business Resources, a national organization focused on sharing best practices and providing tangible tools and resources to business. On Friday, September 23rd, we get to attend the awards ceremony and pick up our trophy – but this award means so much more to us.
To Red Level, this award means a lot: It is focused squarely on the attribute that we feel makes our company truly special – our people. “People are our company’s greatest asset” has become something of a cliché in the business world. It’s a nice sentiment, but too often it is little more than that. At Red Level, though, it is a fact of life. We are our people, and everything that makes us a good company to work for, partner with, do business with, or learn from is a direct result of the very special team members who generate the ideas, design the solutions, share the knowledge, and do the work every day.
We think it takes something special to be a part of Red Level. By nature, Red Level employees are smart, inquisitive, team oriented, principled, hardworking, committed, imaginative. They’re people who like to learn, like to solve problems, like to see tasks through to completion, and like to do work they can take pride in. What this means in practice is that we’re able to consistently deliver outstanding services and solutions to our clients – and that’s help build us into the successful, respected, growing company that we are today.
We love technology, love the possibilities and potential it can unlock – but we know that our company’s success isn’t grounded in the machines we use or the processes we follow. Our success is rooted in who we are, as individuals and as a team. The fact that we’ve received the “101 Best and Brightest” award for the seventh year running tells us that we are methodically doing something right. We are honored to receive this recognition, and we are truly grateful for it – but part of being worthy of it entails understanding who really earned it, and who deserves the recognition.
Simply put, it’s the people who work here that make Red Level one of the best and brightest places to work – not the building, not the policies, not the benefits programs, not the cool gadgets we use. It’s the people who make the magic happen in the work we do, in the environment we create, in the results we generate for our clients. It’s our people who earned this award, and who make Red Level the dynamic, exciting place that it is. We thank the National Association of Business Resources for the recognition, and we thank all Red Level employees for making it possible.
