ClearPass Frequently Asked Questions

The COVID ClearPass app from Red Level is designed to help you protect your workforce and protect your business as Michigan’s economy restarts after the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine. It helps you manage employee queuing/waitlisting, contact tracing, real-time communications, and location capacity limits to stay in compliance with the governor’s orders and CDC guidelines.

What licenses do I need to run the solution?

The solution in this app uses Office connectors, therefore a seeded Power Apps license from Office is sufficient to run and play the user and admin apps. More information: Power Platform licensing overview

If you want to use the Power BI report (packaged as part of the solution), you’ll need a Power BI license. More information: Power BI pricing

How does pre-registration work?

The pre-registration feature permits authenticated users to reserve a visit to a site. Users have the ability to cancel a reservation made in right in the app. All reservations made that did not have a check-in found on the day of the reservation is deemed as “no show” and automatically deleted after midnight.

What access does Red Level have to data and reports?

ClearPass is installed in your M365 Enviroment and Red Level doesn’t require access to your tenant unless you need support or customizations.

Am I able to pre-register on behalf of someone else?

No. Pre-registration feature is limited to only authenticated users, typically company employees. Guests and visitors need to be coordinated the day of the visit as a check-in (Self Declaration form).

How does the check-in process work?

All employees and guests are required to complete the Self Declaration form as part of their check-in before they enter the workplace. Once checked in, ClearPass home will update and display a check-out feature that enables authenticated user check-ins recorded (self and guests) to check-out right in the app.

What are the technical requirements for the application?

ClearPass is installed in your M365 & uses PowerApps, Power Automate and Power BI.
