So, I’ve officially upgraded to Office 2013 and I’ve got a few things I’d like to share about it.
Here are 5 things I like about Office 2013:
- Streamlined – Items are streamlined with the new Microsoft style for a new age. The “look” is consistent with the Windows 8 tile format with less tabs and more highlighted tiles.
- Layout – The layout is very similar to that of Office 2010, with changes appearing stylistically rather than in functionality. Overall, it appears more clean and straightforward.
- Document History – When opening a program such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint with the new Office 2013, you’ll see your most recent documents listed on the left-hand side of the tiled screen and your new document options on the right-hand side. This display reduces the number of clicks to find and open previous documents.
- Colors – The colors are more vibrant in the various programs within Office 2013. From my standpoint, this is a benefit as it makes your computer screen more interesting to view.
- Easy Installation – It took less than 10 minutes for me to download and install the facets of Office 2013. There weren’t endless options to click through, and start-up was easy.
If you’re debating about upgrading to Office 2013, my recommendation is to go for it. It’s worth it!
Until next time…
